My first holiday abroad was when I was 7 years old.
My parents, brother, aunt and I all got onto a plane to Kenya for a two-part trip! We started with blue
skies, crystal clear water and a sea-view hotel in Mombasa and spent these days making sandcastles and eating fresh fruit
on the beach. After our stay in beachy bliss we went to stay in the Masai Mara, a vast wildlife reserve, for an incredible safari-stay spotting wildlife in a
4×4.
Perhaps this is what sparked my love for travelling. We saw lions, zebras, elephants, hyenas, leopards, and all sorts of beautiful animals. Seeing 12
lions, in the wild, sleeping in a row is definitely going to spark some
emotion regardless of age, and it’s a memory that will stay with me forever. It was an absolutely incredible trip and thinking about it makes me so nostalgic!
