You may have read my posts from Thailand (link here) last year… When I look through the photos or re-read these posts I get an exceptional amount of nostalgia.
Every time that the girls and I catch up, without fail, Thailand comes back into conversation. Take me back now please.
That trip was possibly the best I’ve ever had, not just because of the sheer beauty of the places we saw, but moreso for the friends we made and the memories we will laugh at when we are old and grey. We started as casual strangers sitting in the hotel restaurant… “Sorry to bother you, is your wifi working?” and that was the start of fabulous new friendships.
We travelled together in Thailand and vowed to stay in touch when back home in the UK. Unfortunately we aren’t all together travelling anymore so we have calendar placeholders in the diary months in advance, blocking out times to make sure we reunite… and I for one always find myself counting down impatiently!
For our most recent reunion we planned a cheeky lazy Sunday brunch at Aubaine on Dover Street. LA and G caught the train down to London and like no time had passed we got straight into our catch up.
Nothing’s changed – we still are all guilty of loving dessert and instagramming!
We caught up on all the latest on friends, families, crushes and work and reminisced about our travels.
Before we knew it time had flown so quickly and it was time to leave to catch trains back… Clearly the girls weren’t impressed about that!
So as always, before our goodbyes, we got together for some cheesy group photos!
As always time flurries by when you’re having fun and it was time to say our goodbyes. Can’t wait till our next meet up ladies! xx
